Discover Besiktas in Istanbul
Beşiktaş, which means "cradle stone" in Turkish, is a town on the European side of the Bosporus. It is unquestionably one of Istanbul's oldest and most historic neighborhoods, cherished by people and well-known as a cultural and artistic hub. Amazing Besiktas Hotels
Ciragan Palace, sometimes known as the "final symbol of the Empire's splendour," was built between 1861 and 1872. It now resembles an original majestic mansion with baroque style and delicate hues, after the most recent makeover. It is now a component of the five-star Kempinski Hotel Craan Palace. Make a reservation for one of the available suites if you wish to have a lavish stay.
Pay a visit to Dolmabahce
Dolmabahçe is the biggest palace in the nation, with about 300 rooms. It is well-known for its neoclassical facade and spectacular interior, which is lavishly adorned with gold and crystal. It functioned as the principal administrative headquarters of the late Ottoman Empire. The desire to build an Ottoman-European palace that combines Baroque, Rococo, and Neoclassical aspects with traditional Ottoman architecture can be seen. To spend some time in this unique mix, book a guided tour and pay particular attention to the rare collection of oil paintings.
The Market District
This is a must-see for everyone who enjoys vibrant street markets. The outdoor market, which is located near the Naval Museum, is the district's principal attraction. Purchase some inexpensive clothing and fresh fruit, then dine at one of the surrounding tiny and reasonable restaurants to sample the local food before heading to the famous fish market to see the modern architecture.
Ortakoy Mosque
Ortakoy, or the Grand Imperial Mosque, is a beautiful neo-baroque monument that appears on many postcards. It has several exceptional specimens of Islamic calligraphy. Don't forget to take a photo of the stunning Bosporus Bridge, which towers behind it and exemplifies the city's amazing old-meets-new character.
Check Sculptures and Artworks
After a stroll around the Dolmabahçe Palace, visit the neighboring painting museum; admission is included in the palace entrance fee. View the incredible collection of paintings and sculptures, then unwind with a drink or snack in the peaceful café with water views.
Yildiz Park
This is one of the city's greatest green areas, previously part of the imperial garden, and is located between the palaces of Yildiz. It's a big park with flowers, plants, and trees from all over the globe, and it's the perfect place for a picnic and leisure, with views of the Bosphorus. If you're in town in April, make a point of stopping over to enjoy the spring blooms.
Museums to Visit
Deniz Müzesi, which was founded over a century ago, has Turkey's greatest collection of maritime antiquities. It has recently been refurbished and now houses sultan's imperial caiques, exhibitions on naval conflicts, old cannons, navigational devices, ship models, and associated papers. There are many more amazing museums.
Discover Bosphorus
