Discover Uskudar District in Istanbul
Uskudar is a district of Istanbul, Turkey, situated on the Asian side of the Bosphorus, immediately across Besiktas. Uskudar is known for its gorgeous seashore, Maiden's Tower, Camlica Hill, Fethi Pasha Grove, ancient sites like as 16th century Mosques, fountains, and many more attractions. Here's a fast tour to Uskudar, complete with great things to do and see as well as insider tips. The best things to do in Uskudar are strolling around Uskudar Square, watching the crowds, taking a break and drinking tea or coffee at one of the many cafes near the sea in the company of the Bosphorus, visiting Fethi Pasha Grove and Camlica Hill to enjoy the beautiful and panoramic views of the Bosphorus, and visiting Maiden's Tower.
Explore Maiden Tower.
The Maiden's Tower (Kiz Kulesi in Turkish) is a beautiful tower on the sea near the Bosphorus's entry, along Istanbul's Uskudar shores. The Leandros, also known as the Leandros, is one of the city's most well-known sights and monuments. The Maiden's Tower, which was formerly a watchtower, now functions as a café and restaurant during the day and as a private restaurant in the nights. It also offers a range of special events and invites, including weddings, meetings, product launches, and business lunches.
According to historians, a land mass was separated from the Asian shores, resulting in the formation of an islet. And it is said that about 340 B.C., the Athenian commander Alkibiades constructed a tower on this islet to oversee the ships and collect taxes at the Bosphorus' entry.
Stunning Hills
Camlica Hill
Camlica Hill is a fantastic leisure and tourism destination on Istanbul's Asian side. Camlica Hill provides spectacular views of the city. From 265 meters above sea level, the hill is the highest to obtain the finest views of Istanbul. There are also a number of cafés and restaurants where you can take in the scenery.
Fethi Pasha Hill
The Fethi Pasha Grove, located on the back slopes of Uskudar and Belerbeyi, is a perfect area to relax with a drink while admiring the stunning views of the city and the Bosphorus. It is 16 hectares of grassy space with a spectacular view of the Bosphorus. It attracts a large number of people, particularly on weekends.
Explore the Bosphorus
The sunset view of Istanbul's skyline from the promenade along the Bosphorus is unrivaled. The sun seems to descend into Fatih neighborhood as minarets piercing the sky. People fishing, having lunch, and chatting may be seen as you stroll along the rough Bosphorus water. Around sunset, we propose taking a stroll in the direction of Maiden's Tower. For both residents and visitors, this is the most popular pastime in Üsküdar.
Beylerbeyi Palace
Beylerbeyi Palace is situated near the Temmuz Sehitler Köprüsü bridge on the Bosphorus. Beylerbeyi was created to impress, serving as the Sultans' vacation retreat and a residence for visiting ambassadors. We enjoyed our visit to Beylerbeyi Palace since there was no wait, there were few other visitors, and the audio tour was simple to follow. In Istanbul, it's difficult to discover palaces that aren't crowded with visitors, but this is one of them.
