Summer Weather in Istanbul

With airline prices at an all-time low, there has never been a better time to visit Istanbul than now. Even though the main tourist sites are sparsely inhabited, Istanbul is a megacity with surprising pockets of culture aplenty just waiting to be discovered by the adventurous visitor. Istanbul Travel looks at some fascinating locations to visit in the city. It is possible to have days that are very bright and clear. During this time, outdoor concerts, parades, and a variety of music performances and festivals are popular. The neighborhood is extremely crowded and busy, with both tourists and locals. Summer clothing, such as shorts, skirts, t-shirts, beachwear, and sandals, are recommended for hot days and nights.

Summer is also the most peaceful season of the year in Istanbul. Istanbul residents typically spend their vacations in their hometowns or at one of Turkey's numerous resorts. The city is depopulated, traffic decreases, and it becomes much easier to move about, enjoy the beaches of the Bosphorus, the Black Sea, or the Marmara, and get some fresh air away from the city's heat.

Taking a cruise on the Bosphorus

Do you want to go away, relax on the Sea of Marmara, and visit the Princes Islands? Then this is the activity for you. Throughout the day, you'll be able to swim in the archipelago's tiny bays, dine at beautiful local restaurants, and find a spot apart from the city's bustle. We may also arrange for you to help the captain in his maneuvers for a half-day.

Moda Beach

Moda Beach lives up to its name: anyplace that utilizes the internationally known word for "fashionable" is sure to be worth a look, and it does not disappoint. Moda is a neat, attractive, and bohemian district in Istanbul, located on a little hill above the bustle of Kadikoy, Istanbul's Asian side main seaport.

The area is small, but it has something for everyone: drink a one-lira Turkish coffee with hundreds of locals at one of the massive cliffside cafés overlooking the Bosphorus, hole up in a suave craft beer or coffee outpost in one of the inner streets, or simply stroll around admiring the greenery adorning every avenue.

Istanbul Jazz Festival

This is another event for music fans, or just for those who wish to relax with some soft jazz notes. Classical jazz, drum & bass, global music, and even rock are all included at this international event. Keith Jarret, Wynton Marsalis, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Lou Reed, and Patti Smith have all previously played at the festival. This event will give you a taste of the ancient Istanbul city soul and blues vibes throughout your Istanbul trip

Princes' Islands

The Princes' Islands archipelago is an excellent option to escape Istanbul. We suggest going during the weekdays throughout the summer rather than the weekends, when the islands are crowded with Istanbul residents and tourists. On the islands, there are a few little beaches (sadly without sand) where you may relax and swim in the Sea of Marmara.

Sile in Istanbul

In the summer, it's time to go away to Ile. This tiny coastal resort on the Black Sea coast, about an hour northeast of Istanbul, is home to numerous beautiful rocky coves and sandy beaches. While the water may be rough at times, the beach is kept quiet by a constant wind. If you dislike the beach or the ocean, Sile may be the best choice for you.

Sile's real potential comes from its many tourist attractions, which include the captivating Sile Lighthouse, the Sile Fortress, several Istanbul museums for art and exhibition, and more, despite possessing some of Istanbul's most beautiful beaches. In Istanbul, Sile has an annual festival that includes fashion displays and music. Some of Istanbul's historical landmarks may also be found in Sile. If you happen to be in Turkey, you should definitely check out what Sile has to offer.

Summer Houses in Istanbul

For those staying in Istanbul for more than 5-6 days, it may be worthwhile to take a journey outside of the city, to surrounding cities rich in history or to nearby resorts to get away from the city's torpor. There are numerous Summer homes for your Istanbul holiday there, where you will discover peace and pleasure!
