Explore Uskudar’s Tourist Attractions
Located on the Asian side of Istanbul, Uskudar is one of the unique and amazing districts of Istanbul. It has stunning historical attractions for tourists such as palaces, mosques, and towers. Besides the historical monuments, Uskudar has a great view of the Bosphorus, which makes this place one of the most visiting tourist destinations.

Maiden’s Tower
Known as Kiz Kulesi in Turkish, Maiden’s Tower is a small islet at the southern entrance of the Bosphorus Strait. Located between Uskudar and Harem, the old tower's history dates back to the 4th Century. Even though it is not known exactly when the tower was built, the architecture of the tower displays that it belongs to an era around 340 BCE.
The tower has now a group of restaurants that can be reached by stairs, you should see the amazing view while eating traditional Turkish food!
Beylerbeyi Palace
Located in the Beylerbeyi neighbourhood in Uskudar, the palace was one of the favorite places for Ottoman sultans, due to its amazing view of the Bosphorus. It was built by the order of Sultan Abdulaziz, who is the ruler of the Ottoman Empire between 1861-1876 AD, and used as a resort for Ottoman sultans and a government house for hosting.
Having 2500 square meters of land territory, the palace has two floors which were built on a high basement and a square-shaped land. Plus, it has six halls, twenty-four rooms, and a Turkish bath for hosting foreign rulers. One of the other details of Beylerbeyi Palace is, the south part of the palace was used by men, while Sultan’s mother was using the north part.
After Sultan Abdulhamid II resigned, the palace was used for his imprisonment for six years, till he died on 10th February 1918.

Camlica Hill
Located on the Asian side of Istanbul, Camlica Hill offers an amazing view of Istanbul with its high hills which are 265 meters above sea level. The hill also includes various cafes and restaurants where you can drink your Turkish coffee while watching the beautiful sight of the city.
Fethi Pasa Grove
The Fethi Pasa Grove is a great place to have rest and watch the beautiful sight of Istanbul besides the Camlica Hill, Located at the back hills of Uskudar and Beylerbeyi, Fethi Pasa Grove covers 16 hectares of green area. There are also various cafes for you to have rest and enjoy the beautiful weather!
