Best Places to Listen to Live Music in Istanbul
Whether it's one of Turkey's most well-known popular rock bands or a well-known worldwide musician, Istanbul always has something to offer in terms of live music. We've compiled a list of our favorite live music venues, whether it's a large arena with sold-out tickets or a tiny club with live music on a small stage.
Nardis Club
The city's greatest jazz club offers a really down-to-earth and intimate ambiance, with dark lighting and a small stage that is near enough to the tables that you may feel like you're right in the middle of the action. Nardis is known for showcasing local talent, but it also collaborates with the city's jazz festivals to present international musicians in a more intimate setting.
Babylon Bomonti
In terms of live music, Babylon's previous location in Asmalimescit was a legend, and practically everyone has a memory linked with one of its numerous late-night events. Many musicians made their debuts at Babylon, and the venue's new location in Bomontiada has helped to create new memories in a much larger area. Babylon, which is housed in a former beer mill, offers a diverse selection of music, including jazz.
Salon IKSV
Salon is a concert venue that showcases music, theater, and literary events. It is an offshoot of IKSV (Istanbul Foundation for Cultural and Arts), which is responsible for the city's most major art and culture events. Classical, jazz, rock, alternative, and world music concerts are more common on stage than more mainstream acts. This year's schedule includes bands like Efterklang, Mammal Hands, Anna RF, and Local Natives, and runs from October through the end of May.
Kallavi Meyhanesi
Kallavi Meyhanesi is one of the greatest locations to go if you want to get a true taste of Turkish folk music. You can drink the best raki in Istanbul while listening to amazing traditional Turkish notes. If you want to have a conventional night of Turkish music, you should definitely experience Kallavi Meyhanesi.
