The III gave Ciragan Palace, formerly known as Kazancioglu Gardens, as a gift in the seventeenth century. According to the vizier Brahim Pasha, Ahmed was the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. The name "Ciragan" (which translates as "light" in French) was given by the vizier Brahim Pasha. Western architecture serves as inspiration for the Palace's interior design.
