Rexx Cinema is one of Istanbul’s few remaining classic cinemas. You can find a variety of domestic and independent cinemas here and feel like you are in the old times! Cinema’s history is dating back to the 1870s.
Located at the edge of Kadikoy’s main bar street, Rexx Cinema also hosts festivals and film screenings during the year. Cinema’s old name was Apollon Theatre, where Afife Jale took the stage in the early 20th century. If you are around Kadikoy, you should see the Rexx Cinema! Known as Tellalzade Sokak, Antikacilar Avenue has a bohemian and chaotic, but also very peaceful atmosphere that should be tasted. You can find some old photos of Istanbul or a portrait of Ataturk, who is the founder of the Turkish Republic, and feel the atmosphere that belongs to the 1900s.

Arkaoda, which is a bar famous for its extensive backyard, is in the middle of Kadikoy Barlar Street.
