Shopping Centers You Must Visit in Istanbul
Shopping malls are a relatively new idea in Turkey, with a history dating back only to the late 1980s. The Turks, on the other hand, loved shopping malls once they were on the scene. At least one may be found in almost every neighborhood. Some of Istanbul's largest malls are listed below. They are generally located around Taksim, making them easily accessible by bus, train, or taxi. Yes, we can state that they are open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. as a general rule.
Istinye Park
Istinye Park, in the Saryer district's Istinye neighborhood, has given Istanbul's retail idea a new depth. The retail complex, which spans 242.000 sqm, features a range of outdoor and glass-roofed interior parts, including a green central park, Fashion District, street side shopping, a 1.500 sqm kids' entertainment center, Hillside Sports and Leisure Club, and The Bazaar.
Nisantasi
This is not a retail complex, but a neighborhood within walking distance of Taksim that caters to sophisticated customers.
Sultan Abdülmecid I started living in Nisantasi in the mid-nineteenth century. Nişantaşı now boasts Istanbul's third-largest foreign-resident population. It is a prestigious shopping district as well as a posh residential neighborhood. The district's residents are noted for being dignified, well-mannered, and well-educated.
Kanyon
The 37.500 sqm retail mall, which is located in Levent's financial area, features 160 stores, including Turkey's and the world's most prestigious brands, gourmet restaurants, cafés, a health and sports club, and movie theaters.
Kanyon won the 2006 Cityscape Architectural Review Award for "Commercial Built" in the "Commercial Built" category.
