As everybody knows, the 14th of February is considered Valentine’s Day. On this day lovers give each other small presents or compliments to make their significant other happy. Plus, streets, workplaces, and schools are decorated every year. Usually, every decoration is red and heart-shaped because Valentine’s Day symbolizes love, joy, and happiness.
In Istanbul, Valentine’s Day offers a warm view because everywhere is full of heart-shaped objects and decorations. If you are in Istanbul with your significant other, you can spend an amazing Valentine’s Day! Here is a list including the most romantic things to do in Istanbul on Valentine’s Day.
Visiting the Galata Tower
Do you know the rumor that whoever you go to the Galata Tower and climb to the top, you will marry that person? Well, it is just a rumor but some people consider this while climbing to the Tower.

After breakfast, you can tour the Fortress. However, since the Rumelian Fortress is covering a large area, you should spend at least half a day to fully see the Fortress.

Located in Eyüpsultan, Pierre Loti Hill is one of the most romantic places for valentines. When you come to the hill, you will encounter a fascinating view. You can drink your coffee or tea while watching the beautiful Istanbul view with your lover. Plus, there are some binoculars that allow you to watch the city in more detail. It would be very romantic to go on a date to Pierre Loti hill. Do not miss it!
