Istanbul’s New Airport
Istanbul’s New Airport
Are you planning a trip to Istanbul?
According to the Council of Ministers, Ataturk Airport is inadequate in certain areas, and therefore a new airport is required. The Istanbul Airport opened to the public in 2018. Since the shutdown of the Ataturk Airport, the airport has served as the sole airport on Istanbul's European side.
Hotels, apartments, commercial facilities, a hospital, a library, a museum, a cultural center, and a carnival are all located at Istanbul Airport. At the air-side of departures, there is also a children's playground. It contains everything you need!
Procedures for the Station and Flight
Through its massive station, Istanbul Airport has been serving both local and international aircraft passengers. The station may be accessed via seven different gates. There are over 500 comptoirs available to assist you with your check-in and baggage procedures. For foreign flights, there are also 228 passport checks. It is recommended that you arrive at least 3 hours before your flight to be safe. You may simply choose from one of the 150 food and beverage stations that have been specially prepared for you! You may also visit the two exhibition areas: the picture exhibition of Ara Guler, the renowned photographer known as "the Eye of Istanbul," and the picture exhibition of the renowned photographer Ara Guler, also known as "the Eye of Istanbul." Also on display is a Victory Monument Exhibition, which depicts the airport's development.
There are plenty of retail options at the airport. While foreign flights have a plethora of duty-free shops, local airlines have a plethora of cosmetic and apparel stores that you will undoubtedly fall in love with. Keep in mind that many products are discounted at duty-free stores! This includes pharmacies and bookshops, among other things. If you're searching for something to do while you wait for your flight, you can do everything you can do at a shopping mall.
