Description
Emergency Ambulance services in compliance with the ‘Ambulance Services Regulations on Ambulances and Emergency Health Cars’ by the Ministry of Health, published in the Official Gazette dated 07.12.2006 and numbered 26369 are provided with the vehicles consisting of Emergency Ambulance and Patient Transport Ambulance. Emergency Ambulance is composed of a team with a doctor or paramedic, another medical staff and a driver. As for the Patient Transport Ambulance is composed of a team with at least a medical staff and a driver.
In case of emergency, such as sudden illness or injury, the required emergency medical service and ambulance support is provided by S.O.S International Ambulance Service.
When the S.O.S Alarm Center is called for a request for emergency ambulance services, the Alarm Center agent answering the phone first receives the full name of the patient to access the respective records. And then determines the ambulance that is closest to the respective address on the digital map available and, direct it to the patient. Our ambulances are tracked by a satellite GPS system. After the ambulance starts to take action, the ambulance team directed to provide medical response is informed about the clinical information of the patient. The S.O.S Alarm Center agent tells the patient or the relatives about what should be done and should not be done until the ambulance and the team arrive the scene. This prevents possible incorrect responses. When the ambulance team arrives the scene, the patient is treated if it is possible as a result of the first examination performed by the team. If the patient needs to be transferred to the hospital for advance examinations and treatment, the emergency ambulance service is completed by transferring the patient to the most appropriate health institution accordingly.
